What if the wisdom you need is already there?

The challenge may feel overwhelming, but God has not left you without wisdom, strength, or a way forward.

You Are an Overcomer

"For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith."

1 John 5:4 (KJV)

Have you ever faced a challenge and wondered how you were going to overcome it?

Maybe it is a health scare or a financial mountain that just feels overwhelming. If you are like me, there have been many challenges and times when I have just wanted to shout in frustration, wondering, How is this ever going to work itself out?

I know that feeling well.

But do you know that you are an overcomer?

I know that can sound a little like religious cheerleading, but it is true.

As Christians, the same Spirit who raised Christ from the dead lives in us.

"But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you..."

Romans 8:11 (KJV)

God gives us the grace we need to walk through life's challenges. No matter what we are facing right now, we are not facing it on our own.

God is with us.

He can strengthen us, lead us, give us wisdom, and show us the way forward.

In fact, one of the greatest advantages we have as Christians is that we are being led by God.

Think about that for a moment.

You may not know how to overcome the situation in front of you, but God does.

And I love what Colossians tells us:

"In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge."

Colossians 2:3 (KJV)

Did you get that?

All the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Christ.

That means the wisdom we need to walk through whatever we are facing can be found in Him.

Wisdom is not hidden from us. It is hidden for us to discover.

I love that thought.

When I am facing something that feels too big for me, I do not have to know every answer immediately. I can go to the One who does.

James tells us:

"If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally..."

James 1:5 (KJV)

So if you feel like you need wisdom to walk through a challenge this week, take heart.

The wisdom you need is available to you.

But you may need to seek it out.

Ask God to show you what you need to do in order to get the breakthrough. Spend time with Him. Search His Word. Listen for His leading. Pay attention to the wisdom He brings through Scripture, prayer, other people, and the circumstances around you.

You may not receive the whole answer at once.

Often, God simply gives us enough light for the next step.

And sometimes that next step is all we need.

So take courage and trust God.

You are not powerless.

You are not without help.

The Spirit of God lives in you, the wisdom of God is available to you, and the God who sees the beginning from the end is walking with you.

Your victory may be just around the corner.
